I am primarily a portrait artist but when I have some down time I love to paint landscapes and a few still lifes. Duane Keiser has inspired me to do A-Painting-A-Day or rather, a-painting-every-FEW-days! So here goes....
I have been working on a pastel portrait and needed some information from the client so I took a break and painted this. I plan on painting this sucker again in oil but it was just so bright and colorful that I just couldn't resist doing it in pastel too.
I started this little painting about 3 years ago and hated it immediately. I think I only worked on it for about 2 hours. So, I stuck it in a pile of other unfinished paintings, never to be seen again until this week. For some reason it was the right time to work on it and I actually enjoyed it. Maybe I should pull the others from the pile and see what can happen with those???
