WOW! It has been FOREVER since I did a still life for a painting-a-day. I have been so busy with commissions after my move this summer that I haven't had time just to paint for fun so I signed up for a still life class with a very talented friend of mine and this is what I did yesterday, the first day. It's not bad for a three hour painting. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next class.

your dog pastels are crazy good. if i had 1200 laying around i would be all over emma. your portraits are excellent as well. ive been meaning to build a blog roll for chickory and i think i will be linking up to do post haste.
